London, January 9th, 2017 – Following its nomination as National Champion at the European Business Awards sponsored by RSM, Upstream, a leading mobile commerce accelerator in high growth markets, is now calling for votes to become the National Public Champion for Greece. The European Business Awards sponsored by RSM constitute Europe’s largest business competition, set up to support the development of a stronger and more successful business community throughout Europe. For the 2016/17 period, it has engaged over 33,000 businesses from 34 countries.
The public vote, which opens from January 9th until March 1st, 2017, will see over 350 national champions from 34 European countries compete for the coveted National Public Champion title. This title will be awarded to the organisation with the most public votes in each country, on March 6th, 2017. Following the national-level public voting, the 34 successful National Public Champions will then compete for the prestigious European Public Champion title. The final result will be announced at the European Business Awards Gala, in spring 2017.

Upstream is to attend the special “National Champions Event”, sponsored by RSM Greece, to celebrate its distinction as “National Champion” for Greece, and receive its Certificate. The event is to be held at the British Ambassador’s Residence, in Athens, on January 19th, 2017.
Alongside being named a National Champion, Upstream has been shortlisted to compete in the ELITE Award for Growth Strategy of the Year category, based on its impressive performance and growth in its customer reach, geographical footprint, paying subscribers, revenues, and mobile operator clients.
